OK, then, Happy April Fool’s Day, everyone! 
I will give you a “short” lesson related to April Fool’s Day.
We don’t really celebrate April Fool’s Day in Japan — at least not as much as people in other countries do, but it is a well-known day.
April Fool’s is 四月馬鹿／バカ(=shigatsu baka) in Japanese. Many people just call it エイプリルフール(=aipuriru fuuru).
<Related words/expressions>
April fools Day is a day you fool others.
In Japanese to fool someone is 騙す／だます(=damasu)
•Present tenseだます(=damasu) →Past tense だました(=damashita)
受け身(=ukemi) Passive forms
•Present tense だまされる(=damasareru) →Past tense だまされた(=damasareta)
Ex.「今日は、エイプリルフールだからゆかりをだまそうよ！」
(=Kyou wa eipuriru fuuru dakara yukari wo damasou yo!)
It’s April Fools Day today. Why don’t we fool Yukari!
Ex.「ゆかりはいつもだまされるよね。／だまされやすいよね。」
(=Yukari wa itsumo damasareru yone./damasare yasui yone.)
Yukari is very gullible!
Ex.「ああ〜！またマギーにだまされた！」
(=Aa…! Mata Maggie ni damasareta!)
Gosh! Maggie got me again! (←I was fooled by Maggie again!)
♦担ぐ(=katsugu)/かつぐ to deceive ＆ 担がれる/かつがれる(=katsugareru) to be deceived
Ex. あの人は人を担いで／かついでばかりいる。（＝Ano hito wa hito wo katsui de bakari iru.)
He is always tricking people.
Ex. 「また担がれ/かつがれた！」 (=Mata katsugareta!)
I was fooled again!
♦引っ掛ける(=hikkakeru) to trick someone ／引っ掛かる(=hikakaru) to be tricked
Ex.（私は）また引っ掛かった(=Mata hikkakatta!) =まただまされた(=Mata damasareta)=また担がれた(=Mata katsugareta)
(They) got me again! /I was fooled again!/ I was tricked again!
Ex.マギーは詐欺に引っかかった。(=Maggie wa sagi ni hikkakatta.)
Maggie was caught by a scam.
Note: A tricky question is called 引っ掛け問題(=Hikkake mondai)
There is a TV show called どっきり(ドッキリ）カメラ(=Dokkiri kamera) in Japan. (This is the Japanese equivalent of the U.S.’s “Candid Camera“.)
どっきり/ドッキリ means to surprise
→どっきり／ドッキリした(=dokkiri shita) to be surprised
→どっきり／ドッキリ させられた(=dokkiri saserareta) to have been surprised.
So we often hear the following quotes on TV shows where they set people up for fun.
When they reveal the trick they say,
「これ”ドッキリ”です！」(=Kore “Dokkiri” desu!) This is “Candid camera”!
And the one who was tricked says,
「ええ〜！”ドッキリ”なの？」(=Ehh.”Dokkiri” nano?) What? Is this “Candid camera”?
We also say
「えっ？嘘！？」(=Eh? Uso!) No kidding!

Practical jokes in Japanese are called 悪戯／いたずら／イタズラ(=itazura) and it the setting is big we say,
仕掛け（＝shikake) verb is 仕掛ける(=shikakeru) to set up someone
悪戯／いたずら／イタズラする(=itazura (wo) suru) to play a practical joke, to prank
悪戯／いたずら／イタズラを仕掛ける(=itazura wo shikakeru) to set a practical joke, to prank
Note：
いたずらっぽい(=itazurappoi) wicked, mischievous
悪戯(=itazura）also means to vandalize something and it also means sexual molestation. So be careful when you use it!
•To tease or to mock someone in Japanese is
からかう(=karakau)
Ex.「からかわないで！」 (=Karakawanaide!) “You are pulling my leg”
Ex.「ちょっとからかっただけです。 」(=Chotto karakatta dake desu.) “I was just teasing you!”
•A joke in Japanese is 冗談(=joudan)
Ex.「ごめん！ほんの冗談だよ！」(=Gomen honno joudan dayo!)
“Sorry! I meant(did) it as a joke” “I was just kidding. Sorry!” casual
Ex.「冗談はやめてよ！」(=Joudan wa yameteyo!)
“Stop kidding me!”/ “Don’t fool around!”

Ex. せっかく来てくれたのですが、今日はお休みです。
(=Sekkaku kite kureta nodesuga kyou wa oyasumi desu.)

Ex.宿題をせっかくやったのに、家に忘れた。
(=Shukudai wo sekkaku yatta no ni ie ni wasureta.)
I managed to do my homework, but I (unfortunately) left it at home.

いつも恋人がどれだけ自分に優しいか、どれだけ自分達が仲がいいか、そいういう話をすることを”のろける”といいます。名詞は(お）のろけ／（お）ノロケです。
Ex. 彼また私のこといつも可愛いねとかきれいだねって言ってくれるの。
Ex. このアクセサリーも彼が買ってくれたの。 本当に彼って優しくて素敵！！
Ex. 彼は私のことが一番大切なんだって！
Ex.私達って本当にいつも仲がいいの！！
