Nov. 29th Weekend homework feed back!
    ***************************
I gave all my twitter followers this homework yesterday.

    Sunday Japanese quiz.
What would you tell me if I say..
    =Saikin watashi futotta mitai….
= I think I’ve been putting on a little weight lately.

    ***************************
    Correct answer:

That’s not true! You are not fat at all! (^○^)

= Sonna koto naiyo! Maggie zenzen futotte naiyo!

    (more polite)

= Sonna koto arimasenyo. Maggie Sensei zenzen futotte imasenyo.

    *****************************
    :i: Point!:

When someone says something negative about themselves, you have to deny right away! (Even though I obviously look fatter.)

    =Sonna koto nai
    = That is not true.

You say this when you deny what you have just heard is not true.

    ★at all : 全然 ~ ない = zenzen 〜 nai

    Ex.
    = zenzen futotte inai.
    = Not fat at all

    Ex.
    = Zenzen okane ga nai
= Not to have money at all.
(Note : In casual Japanese, we use 全然 = zenzen in affirmative sentence but I won’t teach you here.)

    *****************************

    My dear twitter follower’s answers
(I have already corrected their grammatical mistakes.)
    :u:
    =Saikin watashi futotta mitai…
= I think I’ve been putting on a little weight lately.

    = Soudesune, Maggie.

    = Soudane Maggie!

:l: (From Maggie : LOL!! You guys are toooo honest! :-D )
    *******************************************

    = Sonna koto naiyo!
    = That’s not true!

    = Joudan deshou!
    = You must be joking!

    = Tonde mo nai!
    = No way!

    = Futotte nai! Kawaiku narimashita!
= You are not fat! You look cuter!

= No way! You are very thin!

= Sonna koto naiyo! Maggie chanwa itsumo choo kirei desuyone!
= That is not true! Maggie is always very beautiful!

    :l: From Maggie : Hehe…getting nicer! I love you all♥
    ***************************************************
= No kidding! How much weight did you put on? You are beautiful.

:l: (From Maggie : This is very funny! You never ask a lady how much they weigh but since you follow up saying I am beautiful…I will forgive you.)
    ***************************************************

:l: These are my favorite answers :

    ★「僕も太っています。」
    = I am fat,too!

= Maggie, saikin futotta mitai desune. Chotto shibou kuremasenka? Watashi saikin yasesugi desukara.
= Maggie you look fatter. Can you share your fat? I have been getting too thin lately so…
    ***************************************************
I had a good laugh. Thank you everyone! You are the best! !CHECKHEART!
